SAFETY RULES
The West Virginia Mud Racing Association (WVMRA), Gator Hole Mud Racing, Gap Mills Community Center, nor the webmaster of this site has no express or implied warranty of safety resulting from the publication of, or compliance with these class rules. They are intended as a guideline only for conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to spectators or participants. Participants and spectators are expected to be aware of the inherent hazards of Mud Racing competition and are expected to exercise good safety precautions and procedures at all times.


 

   2006 TRACK SAFETY RULES
1.  
All Driver’s must wear a SNELL approved helmet and safety belt

2.   All vehicles not street legal must be equipped with a fire extinguisher securely mounted within the drivers reach

3.   Any vehicle with removable tops and doors must be equipped with 5-pt. harness, window net, and minimum 6-pt. roll cage

4.   All mechanical fans must have shroud

5.   No vehicle may have coolant, fuel or transmission lines or coolers in the passenger compartment

6.   All vehicles must have working front and rear brakes

7.   Any vehicle with modified transmission (transbrake, high rpm stall converter, etc.) must have transmission blanket or shield (Unless transmission case and bell housing are SFI approved)

8.   All vehicles starting in classes OUTLAW through OPEN must have battery disconnect on back center of vehicle

9.   All vehicles starting in classes OUTLAW through OPEN must have roll cage (minimum 6 point 1 ½ inch .090 thick minimum)

10. Any vehicle starting in classes MODIFIED through OPEN must have SFI approved dampener

11. All vehicles in all classes must have factory fuel tank in the factory location or have aftermarket racing fuel cell (NO homemade tanks allowed in any class)

12. All vehicles under power (engine running) must have someone in the driver’s position for safety

13. All vehicles starting in classes OUTLAW through OPEN with a drive shaft 36” or longer will be required to have two drive shaft loops, one near each end.

14. All fuel must be kept in approved containers at all times

15. Pit and return road speed not to exceed 5 mph. Strictly enforced, speeding will result in disqualification

16. No vehicles in pits other than tow vehicles

17. Any driver believed to be intoxicated will be disqualified.

18. ALL DRIVERS IN CLASSES SUPER STREET THROUGH OPEN MUST WEAR NECK BRACES. ALTHOUGH NOT REQUIRED IN ALL CLASSES THEY ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

19. ALL DRIVERS IN CLASSES MODIFED THROUGH OPEN MUST WEAR FULL FIRE SUIT. All OTHER DRIVERS MUST WEAR LONG PANTS AND SHIRT. ALTHOUGH NOT REQUIRED IN ALL CLASSES FIRE SUITS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED


THERE WILL BE NO SECOND CHANCES THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING. VIOLATORS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WITH NO MONEY RETURNED
